Internships
General Information
Internships can be a great way to get real-world experience in the media
fields, such as filmmaking, television, radio, advertising, marketing, public
relations, digital media, journalism, and more. They can also help you learn
about which aspects of the field you enjoy most. In media internships,
you will not only learn how film and media industries operate and influence the
public, but also develop technical skills and business savvy. Some students even
turn their internships into jobs after graduation.
In the FMS internship program you will:
- Learn hands-on skills in news and sports writing, copywriting, editing, layout, web design, brand management, social media, audio/video production, and more
- Develop interpersonal skills and establish contacts with professionals and alumni in your field of interest
- Improve your verbal and written communication skills
- Gain self confidence in the professional world and increase your knowledge of media
