Summer Music
Community Music Summer Program
The Tufts Community Music Summer program is for kids ages 7-12. Students in the program sing, drum, take instrument lessons and do Music and Movement activities, as well as group time and games. Lunch in the Tufts dining hall is included.
Tufts Summer Music is part of the Tufts Community Music Program and the Department of Music. Tuition for the program is $1050 - limited scholarships are available. The program will run from 9am to 3:30 pm each day. There is the option to stay later for an additional fee.
The program is now accepting applications for our two weeks program July 22 – August 2, 2024.
Faculty
The faculty will include Armine Donato, Yank'l Garcia, Phill Grannan, Jamie Kirsch, Holly Stumpf, M.K. Titiati, Edie Auner, and Tufts student musicians.
Schedule
| 9:00am | Program begins each day at 9am with Small Group Classes and Music and Movement class |
| Lunch | Lunch in the dining hall |
| Afternoon | Group Singing Class, African Drumming, and outdoor recreation |
| 3:30pm | Program ends for the day |
| Aftercare | Aftercare is available until 5:30 pm for $15 per hour per child |
The Tufts Community Music Program is coordinated by Edith Auner, an accomplished musician and program director, who is happy to answer questions or provide more information about any of our Community Music Program offerings or opportunities.
