Room Reservations

For all Tufts University-affiliated room reservations for regular classroom or practice room use from any Tufts Department, Office, Division, Campus Group, TCU Group, or individual student, please submit a request via the ReserveTufts reservation system and/or contact the Music Department Main Office.

Prior to making your booking, please read the policy document best related to your request. Any questions may be directed to the appropriate Tufts Music contact as listed on each document:

Performance and Rehearsal Rentals

For all performance and rehearsal rental inquiries regarding the use of the Distler Performance Hall, Fisher Performance Room, Varis Lecture Hall, or Murnane Lobby, please email Jeffrey Rawitsch, Granoff Music Center Manager, or call 617-627-2253.

  • Availability of the spaces, fees, and rates for use of the spaces will be discussed and a meeting will take place before any use agreements are finalized. Use of Distler and Fisher requires three weeks of lead time to schedule any rental.
  • After this meeting, non-Tufts affiliated (including alumni) performance and rehearsal rental requests will be forwarded to Tufts Conference and Event Services to formalize an agreement. Availability for such rentals during the fall and spring academic terms is limited, and three weeks of lead time is required to schedule any rental.

Non-Performance Rentals

The Distler Performance Hall, Fisher Performance Room, Varis Lecture Hall, Murnane Lobby, or any Granoff Music Center classroom are available for non-performance rentals such as lectures, conferences, and ceremonies.

For rental inquiries for non-Tufts affiliated individuals (including alumni) wishing to hold non-Tufts University functions, please email Tufts University Conference and Event Services or call 617-627-3568. Availability for non-Tufts functions during the fall and spring academic terms is limited, and three weeks of lead time is required to schedule any rental. The World Music Room and Seminar Room are not available for rentals.
