Ingrid Pabón is the Administrator for the Tufts University Department of Music. She oversees office operations and workflow and serves as the primary contact for the department. Ingrid comes to us from Brandeis University where she promoted and organized music, theater, and fine arts offerings for three years as their Arts Engagement Coordinator. Previously, she was a nonprofit consulting Program Manager at TSNE MissionWorks, and Administrative Manager for Harvard Catalyst | The Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center. At Harvard University, she co-founded the first university-wide employee resource group for Latinos, and received a Sharon P. Clayborne Staff Diversity Award for her work in diversity and inclusion. In addition to her experience in higher education and nonprofit operations, Ingrid has a multicultural musical background and is passionate about supporting globally-oriented music programs in academia. She studied flamenco dance at the National Institute of Flamenco and the University of New Mexico, and has performed as a vocalist with various groups in the genres of jazz, soul, afro-peruvian, salsa, funk, and blues. When she’s not tapping away on the keyboard, you might find her tapping along to Greek, Ghanaian, bhangra, or pop music with her daughter, or improvising vocals to lo-fi music.
