Area of Study: Astronomy
I am interested in the connection between galaxies and their host dark matter halos. Dark matter makes up about ~85% of the matter in the universe. Therefore, through gravity, it dominates the structure formation in the universe, leading to the beautiful cosmic web of filaments, nodes, and sheets that we see today. I use multi-wavelength observations in concert with sophisticated models to understand how dark matter influences the physics of galaxy formation throughout cosmic history.
