Graduate Physics and Astronomy Student Society
The Graduate Physics and Astronomy Student Society (GPASS) is a student-run organization within the Physics and Astronomy department. It aims to foster an inclusive community among physics graduate students and provides a bridge to department faculty. GPASS holds monthly meetings to provide an open space for announcements of all kinds, including department news updates, GSC events, social outings, local outreach initiatives, union information, and new/prospective student orientations. During these catered gatherings, students can engage in lively discussions that span from addressing TA working conditions to pondering the number of holes in a straw. Student participation offers the opportunity to be heard and contribute valuable feedback to the department.
